I’m a Charleston, SC based photographer primarily focused on taking pictures of the beautiful flowers that surround me every day. I like to use a macro lens and natural light when I’m working, this way I can get very close to the subject. So close, in fact, I can feel their magic! Its their “magic” I hope to pass on to you.
All of my images are signed and numbered in a series of 50, unless otherwise negotiated. The images shown on my website are 8″x 12″, but I’m able to custom size any order. If you would like to purchase an image framed, I have wonderful framing resources and would be more than happy to consult. This year has been a big year for Alison Weick Photography! For starters, my work was juried into the Piccolo Spoleto Outdoor Exhibition, which took place earlier this summer. For 16 days, I had the pleasure of being downtown in Marion Square, sharing my work, and meeting so many wonderful people. An experience I’ll never forget!
Also, I created a greeting card line that features the flowers in my portfolio. I decided to leave the cards blank inside, giving you the chance to share your own personal message. The Co-Op, on Sullivan’s Island, currently carries the greeting cards. The cards can be viewed on my website, and, VERY SOON, they will be available for purchase.
I have been selected by the Dewees Island Arts Council to participate in their Featured Artist Series. My work will be displayed in the Huyler House on Dewees Island for 6 weeks. The opening reception is Oct. 1,2011. This is when I will be able to meet the residence of Dewees Island and other special guests. If you would like to see my work while it is on display in the Huyler House, please contact me to make arrangements.
